MuesliMixer goes Crumpler

Hi everybody,

You know that I became a mum recently. Actually she is almost turning three months, so it isn't that recent. Anyway, what I want to tell is I was shopping around for a nappy bag. Yes one of those bags that you haul around everywhere and that have to be so big that you could fit babies whole wardrobe in there. I looked around and all I could find where bags with hilarious patterns or the ones that looked like a really nice handbag for womans. But as the bag has to be carried around by her dad as well and I couldn't quite picture him with a bag like that, I was stuck.
Long story short. I always wanted a good Crumpler bag for my laptop and off we went to the little store in Fitzroy to see if they had a bag that would be suitable for being a nappy bag and a laptop bag. In the store I discovered the option to customise some of their bags. The idea was born. I would get a customised Crumpler bag with our MuesliMixer logo on there.

The MuesliMixer "Considerable Embarrassment" bag
What should I tell you- The bag is perfect. The right size, everything fits in there without getting messy thanks to all the different compartments and of course it is really cool looking. I like it a lot. Let me know what you think by leaving a comment under this post, tweeting me or leaving a comment on our Facebook page.

New Gluten free goodies in our MuesliMixer online store

Hello everybody,

great news, we like to introduce to you some new ingredients additions to the MuesliMixer family. From today onwards we have another gluten free base and two more gluten free extras to choose from.

The base is made out of rice puffs, rice flakes and sunflower seeds with a pinch of cinnamon- Free and C'Crunchy. The other two additions are honey rings (yummy and sweet) and Puffed Rice. I can't tell you enough how delicious all of them are even when you don't really need that gluten free muesli.

The other thing we introduced is a little banner to all gluten free Extras and Bases where it might not be as obvious. Of course all our fruits, nuts and seeds are gluten free but how about buckwheat for example? Now you are able to see that straight away- easy. So if you have to be weary on your diet keep looking for our "Gluten Free" banner as seen in the picture above.

Keep on munching,
Claudia

Time flies by

Hello everybody,

I must say the time flies by. We are almost a month in business and the orders keep coming in. There were more things about us in the press and on the weekend we even had a small feature in the Sunday Herald Sun food section. To have a look please download the pdf document from our press site.
We will be featured a lot more during the next couple of months, so please watch out for MuesliMixer in some big magazines. I am so excited about it, I can't tell you.

The other things I am working on is to expand our list of ingredients. Now you might think- what? I can't decide what to choose already, how I am going to select my mix in's when it will be even more? But trust me you will like them a lot. I am looking into more base mixes (like an apple cinnamon blend and a new gluten free mix) and for some chocolate buttons to make all chocoholics happy muesli eaters. Just yummo!

Stay tuned,
Claudia

The first week as a Mueslimixer at MuesliMixer

Yes, it is now one week that we are online and it feels like a long time already. That is particular to the many things that happened.
First of all we had some nice media coverage thanks to Daily Addict and a few bloggers. Read them here if you have missed them:

Daily Addict - Mixed by you- mueslimixer

Sarah Wilson- Check these out. 4 local businesses doing good things for humanity

That's Noice- Blend your own muesli the easy way

I can’t tell you how exciting it is to read about our little baby- our business somewhere. It took us such a long time to get there and sometimes I thought we would never arrive. But now it is all smiles on our faces and we are truly looking forward to the things to come.

What else happened this week? We mixed the first mueslis of course! Do you want to know what your most favourite ingredient is so far? Blueberries! Not that I sit here all day and do statistics, even that I quite like numbers and doing fancy things with it. ;-) But almost everybody chooses them and I clearly understand why. Whole blueberries are just delicious in muesli and add some fruit without the sweetness. And if you look at other breakfast foods blueberry muffins are without a doubt an all time favourite. Maybe I can try and make a recipe that combines muesli from MusliMixer and Muffins to a great Mueslimixer Blueberry Muffin. I will keep you updated about this.

The other trend that we see, is that you guys love our Three Grains and Seedalicious bases. So all natural here. Keep in mind that our Traditional Oats are a perfect base if you love Bircher Muesli and watch out for the recipe in our newsletter. I have been testing and eating all week and found now the best recipe ever to prepare that most original muesli of all. You are not signed up yet? Then click on the red post box on the side bar of this blog.

That’s it for now.
Wish you a wonderful evening, Claudia
